GES 2009 Pre-Kindergarten Class "Inches Into Kindergarten"

As proud parents and other well wishers looked on, the Garysburg Elementary School Pre-Kindergarten Class of 2009 recited the alphabet, proved they knew their left from their right, sang, and acted in several learning skits. The overall performance showed that the teachers clearly articulated expectations for what the students were to learn over the course of the year and took the necessary steps to ensure quality teaching and learning experiences took place.
Squire's Pre-Kindergarten Class Ready to Soar

On Friday, May 29, 2009 at 9:30AM the 2009 Pre-Kindergarten Class at Squire Elementary proved that they were ready for academic challenges ahead for them in kindergarten. The program began with a welcome from Destiny Miles followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by Jalik Person and Ge’Onna Williams. Then the students proudly displayed what they learned through a series of songs and dances which included “Alphabet Soup”, “Days of the Week”, “We Know We Can”, “Lettercise”, and “Happy”.
Central Elementary Students Conquer Pre-Kindergarten
On Friday, June 5, 2009 at 9:00AM the 2009 Pre-Kindergarten Class at Central Elementary proudly displayed their talents as evidence of the fact that they ready to take the next step in their academic career. Based on their performance, it was apparent that with the guidance of their teachers they have developed the early learning skills and experiences critical for a successful academic future success in school. The purposeful play as well as explicit instruction, the teachers provided the 2009 class with a strong foundation in early literacy, language, mathematics, and science skills while promoting personal and social development.
